Wynmoor Community is located in Broward County which is rich in nature centers, parks, preserves, gardens and aviaries, and special places such as Tradewinds Park, Butterfly World, and Tomorrow's Rainbow. There are programs in naturescaping, water conservation, waste management and energy projects. Coconut Creek city resources are readily accessed with the help of a resident of Wynmoor who currently is its mayor.
A half hour North of Wynmoor is Palm Beach County and a half hour south is Miami Dade County. Each of these have natural areas, nature centers, botanical gardens, and/or zoos with aviaries.
BIRDS AND ANIMALS:
In Broward County visit Plantation Preserve, Wellington Preserve, Deerfield Island Park, Fern Forest, Long Key Nature Center, Flamingo Gardens, Secret Woods Nature Center, Long Key Nature Center, and Tree Tops Park. For domestic animals visit Tradewinds Park where there are farm animals and horseback riding.
In Palm Beach County visit Green Cay Nature Center, Wakodahatchee, Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, Okeeheelee nature Center, Loxahatchee Nature Center, Daggerwing Nature Center, Wellington Preserve, West Palm Beach Zoo, and Lion Country Safari.
In Miami-Dade County start with the Everglades: Royal Palm, Flamingo, Shark Valley. Then visit the Miami Zoo and other such places.
GARDENS AND MUSEUMS:
In Broward County consider Flamingo Gardens, Arboretum at Constitution Park, and Butterfly World. In Palm Beach County visit Morikami Museum and Gardens or Mounts Botanical Gardens. In Miami-Dade County visit Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens and the Fruit and Spice Park.
